It's just so nice having you here reading my story.

Pop Music

Pop stands for "popular" music. It began in the middle of the 1900s. The goal of pop music _ is to be liked by as many people as possible. Because it's meant for everyone, it follows a simple structure: a verse, a chorus that repeats, and a catchy beat. Professional groups of writers and producers work together to make the sound clean, bright, and easy to remember. It is designed to be played on the radio and enjoyed by a crowd.

Indie Pop

"Indie" is short for (independent) In the past, this meant a band did not have a contract with a record label. They had to record their music on their own, often in their homes or garages, using cheaper equipment. Because they did not have access to big, expensive studios, their music sounded different—sometimes a little "rough" or grainy. Today, indie pop keeps that same style. It focuses on the artist's personal feelings and unique personality rather than trying to make a song that fits perfectly on a commercial radio station.

Alternative Pop

Alternative music started in the 1980s and 1990s as a reaction against mainstream pop. Musicians wanted to do things differently. If pop music was following the rules, alternative music was about breaking them. Alternative pop takes the basic idea of a catchy song and changes it. Artists of alt-music will often blend in different elements, rhythms, or themes. Alternative music exists mainly to try out new ideas and see what happens when you turn traditional song formats upside down.

It's a lovely moment to take a quick coffee sip.
